RNC make arrest following armed robbery
The RNC has made an arrest following an armed robbery in St. John’s.
On Friday, around 4:45 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery at a business in Churchill Square. The suspect presented a weapon, demanded jewelry from an employee and fled the area before officers arrived. There were no injuries.
Forty-year-old Romaine Keefe was identified as the person responsible and was arrested Sunday evening in Mount Pearl. Keefe was held to appear in court on charges of: Robbery with a firearm, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, and disguised with intent.
She was also charged with theft and breaches on an unrelated matter.
