First ever Hot Chocolate Festival in St. John’s raising funds for ‘NL Queer Research Initiative’

The first ever ‘St. John’s Hot Chocolate Festival’ is connecting people across the city while introducing a wide-variety of everyone’s favourite winter drink, and it’s also a fundraiser for the ‘NL Queer Research Initiative’.

19 different establishments have created their own signature hot chocolate and signed up to take part in the Hot Chocolate Festival.

The festival started in late January and runs until February 15. One dollar from every hot chocolate sold is donated toward the ‘NL Queer Research Initiative’. An organization established to facilitate the collection and preservation of histories, archival materials, knowledge, and research pertaining to the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Newfoundland and Labrador.
