Members of 37 Canadian Brigade Group, led by 2nd Battalion, The Royal Newfoundland Regiment will conduct Exercise MAROON HUSKY at Jiggs Farm from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1.

Members of the public around Jiggs Farm may see approximately 40 soldiers conducting winter familiarization including the use of Arctic tents, carrying rifles and being transported by military pattern vehicles. Simunition training rounds will be used, but only within the confines of the Jiggs Farm Training Area.

This weekend exercise is being conducted to prepare members of the brigade’s Arctic Response Company Group to deploy to Labrador on Exercise MAROON-NUNATSUAK in March as part of the Canadian Armed Forces commitment to safeguard Canada’s North for our communities and Canadian’s national interests
