Deer Lake woman arrested after seizure of drugs consistent with drug trafficking

Police arrested a 31-year-old woman on Saturday after a residential search resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.

On January 10, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m. JFO West and West District GIS executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in Deer Lake with assistance from Deer Lake RCMP.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation, and resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, currency, pills and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking activity. As a result, Stephanie Lodge, 31, of Deer Lake was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.

She was later released from custody, and will appear in provincial court in March 2026. The investigation is continuing.
