Justice, News

While responding to a report of a motor vehicle collision Saturday evening, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP arrested a 48-year-old woman after learning she was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant and in possession of cocaine.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, police were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision on Pinsent Drive. No injuries were reported, however, during the investigation at the scene, police learned that one of the drivers was the subject of an active police warrant.

The 48-year-old woman was taken into custody and transported to the detachment. During a search, officers also found and seized a quantity of cocaine and charged the woman with possession of a controlled drug or substance.

She was released with conditions, and is expected to appear in court in February 2026.
