Gas up nearly three cents

The Public Utilities Board set maximum prices for regulated petroleum products overnight. The changes saw gas increase by 2.8 cents.

On the Island, diesel went up slightly by 0.2 cents.

Furnace oil on the Island increased by 0.14 cents, stove oil heating fuel in Zones 13 and 13a in Labrador fell by 0.03 cents, and propane heating fuel increased by 0.9 cents.

The Board’s next regularly scheduled price adjustment is on Friday, September 12.
