Battle of mayors in Corner Brook as Charles Pender gets PC nomination
It will be a battle of two former mayors in Corner Brook in the upcoming provincial election.
The Tories announced Thursday that former mayor Charles Pender will be the PC candidate. He will be running against Liberal candidate Jim Parsons, who is the city’s current mayor but not seeking re-election municipally.
Sarah Parsons had been nominated as the NDP candidate in Corner Brook, but has since withdrawn her name.
