Police ticket driver for going 180 km/h in 90 zone
A 24-year-old man was ticketed by Burin Peninsula RCMP for excessive speeding Tuesday after an officer on patrol observed the vehicle going more than twice the posted speed limit.
Just before 5:30 p.m., police observed a vehicle travelling in excess of 180 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone on Route 210 north of Monkstown. A traffic stop was conducted, the driver was ticketed for excessive speeding and his license was suspended.
