On Sunday afternoon the RNC responded to a report of a theft at a residence in downtown St. John’s.

Prior to police arrival, the suspect had left the area.

Officers determined that multiple vehicles had been broken into.

About an hour later, a 22-year-old male was arrested in the area. He was charged with assault, theft, and breach of probation.

He was held to appear in court.
