Wildfire update coming this morning

Premier John Hogan will provide a wildfire update this morning. Hogan will be joined by Education Minister Bernard Davis, Minister of Justice and Public Safety John Haggie, Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture Lisa Dempster, RCMP Chief Superintendent Pamela Robinson, and departmental officials. The availability will take place at 10:15 a.m.

Fuel prices fall

Evacuation alert expands to Job’s Cove as province estimates 100 homes lost in Kingston wildfire

The province gave a rough estimate of how many homes may have been list in the Conception Bay wildfires. It’s believed roughly 100 structures have been lost so far, as reality sets in for evacuees that their homes may not be there when they’re able to return to their communities.
