RCMP warning of bear sighting in Baie Verte

On Tuesday evening, the RCMP received a report of a black bear sighting on High Street in Baie Verte. There was no incident reported between the bear and a person or property. However, police are suggesting that people do not leave food sources outside, which may attract bears.

Around 10:40 on Tuesday evening, the RNC conducted a traffic stop in St. John’s. A number of the occupants attempted to flee the vehicle on foot.
