Bay Roberts RCMP is searching for 37-year-old Desiree Whelan, who was last seen yesterday in Tilton. She may be driving a 2020 Blue Ford Escape, NL Licence plate JNL 692. Police are concerned for her well-being. Contact Bay Roberts RCMP at 709-786-2118 with any information.

Forest access bridge in central NL closed for replacement

The forest access road bridge Penny’s Pond Brook, in the Lewisporte area, will be closed to all traffic for approximately one week for repairs. There is signage in place approaching the closed bridge. Penny’s Pond Brook bridge is located at kilometre 22.4 from Glenwood along the Salmon Pond Forest Access Road.
