Volendam visits St. John’s

The cruise ship Volendam is in port in St. John’s today, the ship carrying 1839 passengers arrived at 8:00 a.m. and will remain in the city until 5:00 p.m. Operated by Holland America, the ship has stops in Canada, the United States, Greenland, Iceland, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon over 24 days.

The RNC responded to a call of an impaired driver who was reported to be heading east in the westbound lane on Pitts Memorial Drive, St. John’s last night. There are some minor changes at the pumps today. Gasoline is up by 1.0 cents per litre. Diesel on the Island decreased by 0.2 cents. Furnace oil decreased by 0.16 cents.
