Wet roads and fog across most of the Island

Roads across most of Newfoundland are wet with areas of fog on the Avalon, south coast, west coast, and on the Great Northern Peninsula causing reduced visibility. Man arrested after assault in downtown St. John’s

Tuesday afternoon RNC patrol service responded to a residence in downtown St. John’s, to a report of an assault in progress. Police located the complainant who had injuries to his head and face. Officers arrested and charged a 31-year-old male with assault. The accused was held to appear in court.
