Heavy rain forces closure of Marble Mountain

The excessive rainfall on the west coast has resulted in problems at Marble Mountain. Gravel and sand from washouts have been deposited at the base of the mountain. At this time, the mountain is expected to reopen on Friday. Additionally, the Fat Bike Race has been postponed until further notice.

Professor creating series of documentaries on history of hockey cards

Last night a case of unopened hockey cards from 1980 sold for $5 million dollars at auction. A university professor in Ontario, originally from St. John’s is creating a series of documentaries about the legendary Canadian company that produced those cards and others, for decades.
