Police have taken a man into custody in relation to the incident on Petten’s Road in Conception Bay South.
The RNC responded to a call involving a firearm in the area Tuesday morning. The public was asked to stay away from the area, and residents were asked to stay in inside their homes until the incident concluded around 2:30 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
