The Trans-Canada Highway east of South Brook was closed for several hours Sunday evening after a serious motor-vehicle collision.

Three vehicles were involved and witnesses say it’s believed a moose may have been the cause. Traffic analysts were on the scene throughout Sunday night to carry out their official investigation. Several first responders were also on hand including several ambulances.

The RCMP Springdale RCMP Detachment is expected to release more details Monday.
