Morning Traffic Update: Marine Atlantic cancels crossings

There is some fog across parts of the Avalon Peninsula and Burin Peninsula and roads are mostly wet.
In central roads are mostly wet with areas of fog. On the west coast and Great Northern Peninsula, roads are dry for the time being with rain expected later this morning.

Expect good driving conditions across Labrador.

Due to adverse weather in the Cabot Strait, Marine Atlantic has cancelled the North Sydney to Port aux Basques crossing scheduled for 11:45 a.m. and the Port aux Basques to North Sydney crossing scheduled for 11:45 a.m.

New commercial sailings have been added to the schedule. The MV Atlantic Vision will depart North Sydney at 5:45 p.m. and The MV Atlantic Vision will depart Port aux Basques at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The MV Grace Sparkes will depart St. Brendans at 2:30 p.m. instead of 1:00 p.m. and depart Burnside at 4:00 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m. due to the Targa Race.

The MV Gallipoli will follow the Wednesday schedule today.

Flights are on time at the St. John’s International Airport, Gander International Airport, and Deer Lake Regional Airport.
