
Labrador’s largest town has released its budget for 2024. Happy valley-goose bay delivered a $15 million balanced budget late last week.
Residential property taxes are increasing by 0.5 mils, bringing them from 7.25 to 7.75, while the commercial property tax will increase by 1 mil.
The annual water and sewer tax will also increase by $48 per year. The town will proceed with water pump house upgrades at a cost of $2.27 million split by the town, and the Federal and Provincial Governments.
The 3 levels of government will also fund sewer lift station upgrades for $1.67 million, and road intersection upgrades for $550,000.
