On Thursday afternoon, the RNC responded to a report of an assault in the west end of St. John’s.

Officers spoke to the female victim, who sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.

The 42-year-old male suspect was arrested. Officers charged the male with assault and causing bodily harm. He was taken to the city lockup and was held to appear in Provincial Court later in the day.
