Two impaired drivers were picked up by the RNC overnight.

At 11:10 p.m., RNC officers conducted a traffic stop on the CBS Highway. Officers observed signs of impairment in the 33-year-old female. After a brief interaction with the driver, she was charged with refusing the roadside screening device. Her license was suspended and her vehicle was impounded. She was released to appear in court at a later date.

At 12:38 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop in on Topsail Road in Paradise. The Officer conducting the stop quickly observed that the 38-year-old male driver showed signs of being impaired. As a result of the stop, the driver was charged with impaired driving and refusing the breath demand. His license was suspended, his vehicle was seized, and he was released to appear in court at a later date.
