St. John’s lawyer hopes N.S. mass shooting report sparks change in handling of gender-based violence

A prominent St. John’s lawyer was in Truro, Nova Scotia today for the release of the report of the Mass Casualty Commission.

Erin Breen represents a coalition of women’s advocacy groups from across Canada. She hopes the report will spark much-needed change in how the criminal justice system handles intimate partner and gender-based violence. NTV’s Rosie Mullaley reports.
