Seamus O’Regan says federal budget will bring cost-of-living relief to N.L.

Federal Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan is promising that the federal budget will bring cost-of-living help to Newfoundland and Labrador.

He also weighed in on questions about what’s happening with the Atlantic loop.

Cost-of-living cheques being sent to people who have died, Paul Lane says

The province has sent out more than a quarter of the $500 dollar cost of living cheques, but some of them are going to people who have died.

The government offered explanations today about what to do with those cheques, but Independent MHA Paul Lane says the process has been anything but fluid. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.
