The Opposition is raising concerns about cost overruns for the province’s cost of living cheques. That’s after government under-projected just how many cheques would be issued.

If you’re still waiting to get your cost-of-living cheque, the province says 96% of cost of living cheques have now been sent in the mail.
But the opposition parties are still concerned that the one-time cheques won’t address the larger issue of the cost of living. NTV’s Bailey Howard has more.
The province has processed more than 240,000 cost of living cheques for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians so far, but as NTV’s Ben Cleary reports, the New Democrats say these one-time relief cheques aren’t making it into the hands of the most vulnerable.
