Buddy Wasisname’s Kevin Blackmore reflects on decades-long career

Last week, the Governor General announced that folk-comedy trio Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers will become members of the Order of Canada.

NTV’s Garry Smyth profiled all three members of the group in a special series for NTV several years ago.

Members of ‘Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers’ appointed to Order of Canada

Governor General of Canada, Mary Simon, announced 99 new appointments to the Order of Canada today. Among those recognized, was a group near and dear to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

Members of the beloved band ‘Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers’, Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk, and Ray Johnson were appointed to the Order of Canada today.
