Sheshatshiu RCMP has charged 32-year-old George Pastitshi with attempted murder and other criminal offences in relation to a violent assault that occurred over the weekend in Sheshatshiu.
Pastitshi was arrested on Oct. 28 and is set to appear in court today. He is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated assault
- Uttering threats against a person
- Breaking and entering a residence
- Mischief under $5,000 – Damage to property
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with a release order
The investigation is continuing, with assistance from the RCMP NL General Investigation Section and Major Crime Unit.
