Quebec and N.L. eyeing future of Churchill Falls as problems persist with Labrador link

Quebec Premier Francois Legault has said his province needs to build more hydro power to boost its negotiating position to renew the Churchill Falls Contract in 2041.

Premier Andrew Furey is playing his cards close to his chest, waiting on a report from his 2041 expert panel in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the Labrador-Island link for the Muskrat Falls project is still running into failures.
