A 40-year-old man from Heart’s Desire was ticketed for driving without insurance in Carbonear last week. Police are now continuing an investigation in relation to items found inside the vehicle. Just before midnight on Feb. 6, RCMP in Harbour Grace conducted a routine traffic stop on Valley Road in Carbonear. The driver was operating a vehicle without insurance. While conducting the traffic stop, police observed firearms parts, drugs and drug paraphernalia. As part of the investigation, the vehicle was seized and transported to the detachment. A search warrant was obtained and executed.

The investigation is continuing with further charges anticipated.
