
A 65-year-old man was transported to hospital after crashing his motorcycle on a forestry road near Northern Arm on June 2. On Monday, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle on a forestry road in the Northern Arm area. The exact location of the driver was unknown and attempts to locate his cellular phone were unsuccessful.
Police engaged Exploits Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) to assist in locating the driver. Once he was located, GSAR transported paramedics to the scene before returning the driver safely to the main highway.
The driver, a 65-year-old man, was assessed by EMS and transported to Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center for further treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
