Man arrested after disturbance in downtown St. John’s

On Sunday evening, the RNC responded to a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. A 38-year-old male was arrested and taken to the St. John’s lockup. He was charged with assault and forcible confinement. The accused and the female victim were known to each other.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald will hold a media availability today to discuss the fall vaccination plan for influenza and COVID-19.  Vaccination clinics are available by appointment at various clinics across the province starting today. Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are also available at no cost through participating local pharmacies and family physicians.
