The weather to close out the week will be quite nice on the Island. Many areas will see highs in the lower to middle 20s. The exception will be west and southwest facing shores where onshore winds will hold temperatures into the middle teens. Expect an abundance of sunshine.
Another disturbance will move into Labrador, sparking more showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the west. That is not a great forecast for the region. The fire danger is high. Several fires are already burning in the area, and there is the chance more will get ignited on Friday.

Temperatures will drop significantly in Labrador West on Saturday and Sunday but will warm back up next week. While the cool down may quell the risk for a couple of days, we must remain vigilant in doing what we can not to start any new fires. Please pay attention to the regulations in your area.
The weekend weather for the Island starts decent. However, rain will arrive Saturday afternoon and will continue in some areas into Sunday. Rainfall amounts over much of the Island west of the Avalon will be in the 40-60 mm range. The forecast may change, so be sure to check back for updates.
