Premier defends decision to write Bank of Canada asking to stop raising interest rate

The Governor of the Bank of Canada has warned Premier Andrew Furey that asking for a freeze on interest rates could undermine the independence of the bank.

That was after Furey joined other provinces last month in asking the bank not to raise interest rates.

But today, the Premier defended his actions, saying he has no regrets.
