Wednesday evening the RNC were called to a report of an assault in the center city area of St. John’s.

Police responded to the scene and conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old male.

The man was charged with assault with a weapon, threats and weapons offences.

He will appear in court this morning.
