The RNC were called to a report of a weapons offence at a residence in St. John’s around 1:20 a.m. this morning.

When officers arrived, a 59-year-old male confronted officers with two knives.

He threw one knife at the officers.

He was arrested and held to appear in court on charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.
