Update: Police looking for witnesses following incident in downtown St. John’s

Police closed a portion of Harbour Drive in downtown St. John’s on Saturday afternoon following an incident that sent two people to hospital.

Multiple emergency crews descended on the scene, next to the Atlantic Place Parking Garage, at about 1:30 p.m.. Two people were taken to hospital as a result of the incident. Their condition is not known at this time. Police closed Harbour Drive between Job’s Cove and Bishops Cove for several hours to facilitate their investigation into the incident.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary are looking for witnesses who may have been in the area between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.. Police are also seeking any video footage, including dashcam footage, from the area within that time frame.
