Sunday afternoon the RNC were called to a report of a hit and run on Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s.

Officers located the vehicle responsible in Torbay, the driver was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest for impaired driving.

The 23-year-old male driver was charged with refusal and impaired driving. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
