Fire crews from Salmon Cove, Perrys Cove, and Victoria responded to a structure fire on Wednesday evening in Victoria.

The fire was contained to the kitchen but the rest of the structure sustained smoke and water damage. 

The family’s dog was rescued but succumbed to smoke inhalation. A cat was also rescued and is doing fine with the family.
