Corner Brook city councillor ejected from public meeting after verbal exchange with mayor

A Corner Brook city councillor was ejected from a public meeting last night after a verbal exchange with the mayor.

It happened during a debate over the proposed wording of city hall’s code of conduct for elected officials. Councillor Charles Pender was removed for failing to yield the floor to Mayor Jim Parsons, who ordered a municipal police officer to remove pender from the chambers.
