Closing arguments heard in St. John’s assault trial

Closing arguments were held today in the jury trial of a Tors cove man accused of beating a man and causing him brain damage.

The crown says Anthony Ryan’s violent actions changed the victim’s life. But the defence said Ryan actually saved the man’s life.
