UPDATE: Power being restored after windstorm knocks out power for thousands

Winter storm hits much of province

It was quite the stormy day for parts of the province, especially the west coast. Schools and facilities were closed today as the region saw close to 30 centimetres fall. As NTV’s Becky Daley tells us, the snow brought out the best in people but for some worry about travelling on stormy days.

Premier launches Churchill Falls review, but opposition questions Muskrat Falls connection

Provincial government offices at 50 Elizabeth Avenue remain closed tomorrow

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure wishes to advise that all provincial government offices located at 50 Elizabeth Avenue will remain closed on Tuesday, Dec. 16.  An update on whether the building would re-open on Wednesday, Dec. 17, will be provided on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
