The provincial by-election in Fogo-Island Cape Freels has been set for April 15. The seat became vacant after the death of cabinet minister Derrick Bragg.

Dana Blackmore is running for the Liberals, Jim McKenna is running for the Tories, and Jim Gill is running for the NDP.

The following key dates apply to this election:

• Election Day – Monday, April 15. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

• Advance Poll – Monday, April 8. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

• Deadline for Candidate Nominations – Monday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m.
