The Brigus Blueberry Festival gets underway today.

The four-day event kicks off this evening with a Great Screech-In at the Royal Canadian Legion.

On Friday there will be kids activities, the Blueberry Festival Kitchen Party, and an adult dance at the Recreation Centre.

Saturday festivities continue with a parade followed by events at the festival site featuring a Pie Eating Contest and the Missed Blueberry Pageant.

Everything winds down on Sunday with raffles, craft stalls, baked goods, games of skill, and more followed by fireworks at the Brigus waterfront.
