Last week, Bonavista RCMP stopped a 55-year-old male all-terrain vehicle (ATV) operator and arrested him for impaired operation.
On April 17, shortly before 5:15 p.m., police received a report of a man driving an ATV who was possibly impaired. Police located the ATV in Catalina and located the man on his ATV pulling into his residence. The man showed signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. He provided two breath samples that were more than three times the legal limit. His ATV was impounded.
The man was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired operation.
