The provincial government is promising legislation this spring after releasing the Pubic Utilities Board’s review of auto insurance. The PUB looked at a variety of compensation caps and deductibles to deal with rising insurance premiums, which are 35 per cent higher in Newfoundland and Labrador than in the Maritimes. But it’s not known yet what measures the government will include in its new legislation. NTV’s Michael Connors reports.
