Two teenagers from the Humber Valley area have been charged with making threats to Pasadena Academy.
Deer Lake RCMP say they were notified by a staff member at the school last Friday that threats were made toward students and staff at the school. A police investigation led to the arrest of a 14-year-old youth.
The teen appeared in court in Corner Brook on Tuesday to face charges of uttering threats and breaching conditions of an undertaking. The youth was released on strict conditions, including not being allowed to attend Pasadena Academy.
Also on Tuesday, further investigation identified a second 14-year-old youth from the Humber Valley area who was involved in uttering threats to the staff and students of the school. Police arrested the second teen, who will appear in court Wednesday.
Deer Lake RCMP are continuing to work with Newfoundland and Labrador English School District to ensure the safety of the students and staff of Pasadena Academy.
