There will be an important match-up tonight at Mile One Centre as the St. John’s Edge look to even their NBL divisional playoff series with the London Lightning.

St. John’s fell 108-86 in Game 3 Saturday night giving the Lightning a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series. The expansion Edge were hot out of the gate jumping to a 27-21 lead to end the first quarter, but the league’s defending champions stormed back, and went up by four, going into the fourth quarter.

Hometown star Carl English led the way with a game high 25 points as a crowd of 5,400 filled Mile One for St. John’s first home game in two weeks.

The edge really needs that home court to play to their advantage tonight in a pivotal Game 4 matchup.
