In its inaugural season the St. John’s Edge have clinched a playoff spot. The expansion team was able to solidify a playoff position Tuesday night when the Kitchener Waterloo Titans lost to the Halifax Hurricanes.
“It’s an outstanding accomplishment as an expansion team and our first year in the league. I am incredibly proud of our players, coaching staff, ownership and everyone that has helped us get to this point,” said Edge head coach and GM, Jeff Dunlap. “However, we are not done yet. We have more work to do to close out this season and prepare for the playoffs.”
The Edge still have 11 regular season games remaining with eight of those to be played on home court at Mile One Centre. Heading into this weekends games the Edge have a record of 18-11 and sit second in the Central Division.
