The image from the camera is automatically updated every 1 minute. The Camera is remote controlled from NTV's Studios and is primarily a beauty shot camera for'On Air' use. Our staff move it from time to time each day, but unless they do, or conditions change, the picture could remain much the same for long periods of time.

The NTV SkyCam overlooks St. John's Harbour and vicinity. When moved, it can pan the harbour, the city, Fort Amherst, and out to sea as far as Cape Spear, North America's most easterly point of land. You could see the Atlantic Ocean, icebergs, ships, sunsets, the city, and ( a lot of the time ) fog!

The SkyCam has been improved! We've added a new lens equipped with auto iris. The location of the camera has also been raised. This allows us 360 degree rotation, providing many new views of Old St. John's. We've also improved the image resolution. While images will take a little longer to load, the bigger size of the image displayed here allows you to see more detail. We feel that some of the shots are really worth it. We hope you enjoy them.
