The RNC Major Crime Unit is investigating a stabbing.
On Saturday, Feb. 24, at about 12:00 p.m., the RNC received a report of a stabbing on Springdale Street in St. John’s. Officers determined that the victim, a 34-year-old man from St. John’s, had been conveyed to St. Clare’s Hospital for treatment. The male received serious injuries. It has not yet been determined whether the victim and the suspect were known to one another.
It is believed that the victim of the stabbing was conveyed to St. Clare’s Hospital in a vehicle. The RNC is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the driver and/or occupants of this vehicle. An image of the vehicle has been obtained from a CCTV camera.
