No charges will be laid for the shooting death of Don Dunphy, the RCMP announced Tuesday.

Dunphy died in his home in Mitchell’s Brook on Easter Sunday in 2015. He was shot by a member a premier’s security detail who was investigating comments Dunphy had made on Twitter.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team, a civilian-led body, concluded that the RCMP investigation followed best practices and that it was thorough, complete and unbiased.
